Pulse IPTV Privacy Policy
This policy covers Pulse IPTV for Android, iOS, native Mac, and the Electron desktop app. Choose your version below for its data practices.
Last updated: October 23, 2026
1. Scope and contact
This policy covers Pulse IPTV for Android (com.nakshatra.iptv), PulseIPTV for iOS and native Mac (com.alkutkar.PulseIPTV), and the Pulse IPTV Electron desktop app for Mac (com.nakshatra.pulseiptv), published by Nakshatra AI LLC, Miami, Florida. Version-specific sections below explain their differences. Your IPTV provider and other third-party services have their own privacy policies.
For privacy questions or requests, email support@nakshatra-ai.com. This policy is effective October 23, 2026.
2. Pulse IPTV for Android (com.nakshatra.iptv)
Pulse IPTV for Android is a player for playlists and IPTV subscriptions you choose. It does not create Nakshatra IPTV accounts, sell IPTV subscriptions, or host the channels, movies, or series it plays. When you sign in to an existing Xtream-compatible provider, the app sends the provider address, username, and password to that provider to authenticate and request its catalog and guide. For an M3U playlist, the app requests the playlist URL you enter; the URL may contain credentials or access tokens. Your provider and the hosts it references receive your IP address and connection/request information. HTTPS protects traffic in transit; HTTP does not, and the app allows provider URLs using either protocol.
The app saves provider names, server addresses, usernames, passwords or playlist URLs, and app preferences in Android private SharedPreferences on your device. It also stores favorites and recently viewed channel identifiers there. These local account details are not encrypted by the app itself. Android backup behavior can include app data according to device and backup settings. Use Settings > Reset all app data to remove saved accounts, favorites, and preferences from the app on this device. This does not close or delete your separate IPTV provider account, remove device backups, or delete information already sent to Google or your provider.
The Android release includes Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. Google may process app usage and session information, app/device/operating-system information, installation identifiers, and the Android Advertising ID for Analytics. Crashlytics may receive crash reports, stack traces, app/device details, installation identifiers, and diagnostic logs. Pulse's playback-failure log records the failure title, playback engine, whether playback is live, and the HTTP status code; it does not include provider URLs or passwords. Google receives network information, including your IP address, when Firebase services connect. These services are not controlled by the Electron desktop app's analytics setting. Google's handling is described at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy. Contact support@nakshatra-ai.com to request deletion of data held by Nakshatra AI or ask about Firebase data; app reset removes local app data but cannot erase data already transmitted to Google.
3. PulseIPTV for iOS (com.alkutkar.PulseIPTV)
The native iOS app is a player for playlists you supply. It saves playlist names, URLs or imported file references, channel catalogs, groups, favorites, and preferences on your device using its local database and preferences storage. A saved playlist or stream URL may contain provider credentials or tokens. These native records do not use the Electron app's safeStorage account file. Device backups may include app data according to your settings.
Fetching a playlist, guide, stream, logo, or artwork connects to the source and hosts referenced by that source. They receive your IP address and request information, including any credentials in a requested URL. HTTPS protects traffic in transit; HTTP does not. Pulse does not operate a Nakshatra streaming relay for these connections. The app uses native AVPlayer and bundled VLC playback components depending on playback needs.
The native app includes Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics when Firebase configuration is present. Read the native analytics and diagnostics section below; the Electron Share anonymous usage setting does not control the iOS app. Remove playlists and favorites in the app or use Settings > Reset All Data to clear its playlists, channels, and favorites. This does not delete source files you imported, device backups, provider accounts, or information already sent to Google.
4. PulseIPTV for native Mac (com.alkutkar.PulseIPTV)
The native Mac app uses the same native application code and local database model as the iOS app. It stores playlist names, URLs or imported file references, channel catalogs, groups, favorites, and playback preferences on your Mac. URLs may contain provider credentials or tokens. These records are separate from the Electron app's encrypted account storage. macOS backups may include app data according to your backup settings.
Playlists, guide data, streams, logos, and artwork are requested from your chosen sources and their referenced hosts. Those hosts receive your IP address and request information, including credentials embedded in URLs. HTTPS protection depends on the source URL. Playback uses native AVPlayer and bundled VLC components. Local playback components can process and buffer stream data on your Mac.
Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics are included when Firebase configuration is present, as explained below. The Electron analytics toggle does not apply to the native Mac app. Remove playlists and favorites in the app or use Settings > Reset All Data to clear its playlists, channels, and favorites. Removing the application alone may leave its local data and backups. Source files, provider accounts, and previously transmitted diagnostics are not deleted by the app's reset.
5. Native iOS and Mac: Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics
The native apps configure Firebase when a valid Firebase configuration is bundled. Analytics helps measure feature use; Crashlytics helps diagnose crashes and errors. Collection is not controlled by the Electron Share anonymous usage toggle, and the native app currently has no equivalent in-app analytics switch. Builds without valid Firebase configuration skip these services.
App analytics events include navigation tabs and categories, channel-change actions, playlist additions and selections, randomly generated playlist identifiers, source type (URL or file), load success or failure, channel counts, guide availability, refreshes, favorites actions, and search length and result count. The search helper sends counts rather than the search text. Google's SDKs can also process installation identifiers, app and operating-system information, usage and session data, and network connection information.
Crashlytics can receive crash reports, stack traces, device and app information, installation identifiers, error messages, and custom diagnostic logs and attributes. Some native error paths attach a playlist URL or local file path, and errors can contain source information. As a result, diagnostic information can include provider addresses, credentials or tokens embedded in URLs, and local paths. The Electron analytics field filter does not apply to these native diagnostics.
We use these services to understand app usage and improve reliability. We do not describe installation-linked analytics or diagnostics as fully anonymous. Google's handling is described at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy. Retention follows the relevant service and property settings; Google Analytics retention information is available at https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196. Local reset or uninstall does not erase information already transmitted. Contact support@nakshatra-ai.com about access or deletion requests and help identifying the relevant installation; do not send provider passwords or full playlist URLs.
6. Electron desktop: provider and playback connections
Pulse IPTV is a player for sources you choose. It does not create a Nakshatra IPTV account, host a channel service, or sell IPTV subscriptions. For Xtream-compatible sources, the app sends your server address, username, and password directly to the provider to authenticate and request channels, movies, series, and guide data. For M3U sources, it fetches the playlist URL you enter; that URL may itself contain credentials or an access token.
Playback, guide downloads, channel logos, and artwork can contact your provider and other hosts referenced by its catalog. Those hosts receive your IP address, request headers, and the URLs requested, including credentials embedded in those URLs. Their privacy policies govern their handling of this information. Pulse does not relay these connections through a Nakshatra streaming server.
Connection protection depends on the source. HTTPS encrypts traffic in transit; an HTTP source does not. Choose sources you trust and content you are authorized to access.
7. Electron desktop: information kept on your Mac
If you choose to save an account, Pulse stores its name, provider address, username, password or playlist URL, and last-used time in an encrypted local account file. On Mac, encryption uses Electron safeStorage backed by macOS Keychain. If secure storage is unavailable, the app does not save the account.
Favorites and playback preferences are stored locally. The app also keeps an analytics preference and a randomly generated installation identifier in a local file. Downloaded catalogs and guide data are processed locally during use. Operating-system backups may include app data according to your own backup settings.
When a stream needs local conversion, the app can write temporary media segments, a playback playlist, and a diagnostic log to your Mac. These are served to the player over a loopback connection on the same Mac. Conversion cleanup attempts to remove its temporary directory when conversion stops; an interrupted app session may leave temporary files behind.
8. Electron desktop: optional Google Analytics
When analytics is configured in the app build and Share anonymous usage is on, Pulse sends usage events to Google Analytics 4 to help us understand feature use and improve playback reliability. The setting starts on. Analytics is inactive in builds without the required analytics configuration.
Events use a randomly generated installation identifier and a session identifier, together with the app version and operating-system platform and architecture. Events can include screens and categories opened, login method and success or failure, playlist and guide counts and load times, favorites actions, settings changes, search length and result count, playback format and codec information, playback errors, and time to the first frame.
Playback and channel events can also include the channel or content title, a channel region prefix when present, category names, content type, and viewing duration. Although the setting is labeled Share anonymous usage, the installation identifier can link events from the same installation, and viewing information can reveal interests. We do not describe this data as fully anonymous.
The analytics event filter excludes credential, server-host, URL, email, token, and search-query fields. Search text, provider passwords, playlist URLs, and the audio or video stream itself are not included in the app's analytics events. Google receives the network connection, including its source IP address, when the app sends events.
Turn Share anonymous usage off in playback preferences to stop future analytics collection and sending and clear events waiting in the app's queue. This does not delete events already sent. Google processes information under its privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Google Analytics retention depends on the property's retention settings; standard aggregate reports can be retained separately. See https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196.
9. Electron desktop: third-party playlists and external apps
The optional free-channel option uses iptv-org, an independent community-maintained playlist. Selecting it downloads a playlist from iptv-org's hosting and connects to the stream and artwork hosts listed there. Pulse displays a notice before you choose to use it. Nakshatra does not control those hosts or their availability, content, or privacy practices.
If you choose Open in VLC, Pulse passes the stream URL to your installed VLC app. That URL may include provider credentials. VLC then connects under its own behavior and policies. If VLC is unavailable, Pulse can open the VideoLAN website in your browser. Other external links open in your system browser.
10. All versions: support and other disclosures
If you contact support, we receive your email address and the information you send and use it to answer your request. Avoid sending passwords, full playlist URLs, or logs containing access tokens; redact them first. Support correspondence is kept as needed to handle your request and meet applicable obligations.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights. Service providers may process information for the purposes described in this policy.
The Nakshatra website has its own website analytics. Visiting the app listing or this policy is separate from using the desktop player.
11. All versions: retention, deletion, and your choices
For Pulse IPTV for Android, use Settings > Reset all app data to remove saved provider details, playlist URLs, favorites, and preferences stored by the app on that device. To request deletion of information held by Nakshatra AI, email support@nakshatra-ai.com with the app name and the data you want deleted; do not send provider passwords. This cannot delete an IPTV subscription held by your provider or data already held by Google Firebase. Firebase data is handled under Google's service retention and deletion controls.
In the Electron desktop app, remove a saved provider account from the account picker to delete its entry from Pulse's saved account file. Logging out ends the active session but does not remove saved accounts, favorites, or preferences. Removing an account from Pulse does not close your account with the IPTV provider.
In the Electron desktop app, local preferences and the installation identifier remain until you remove the app's stored data. Uninstalling the application alone may leave its data directory, Keychain material, backups, or temporary files on your Mac. Close the app before removing its local data. Manage backups separately in your operating-system settings.
For native iOS and Mac, use the deletion controls described in their sections above. Across all versions, analytics and diagnostics already sent are governed by the relevant Google service and property retention settings. Local deletion and the Electron usage toggle do not erase that history. Contact support@nakshatra-ai.com to request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold, or to ask about analytics retention. We may need information to verify and locate the relevant records; do not send provider credentials. Rights and exceptions depend on the law that applies to you.
12. All versions: children
Pulse IPTV is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact support@nakshatra-ai.com so we can investigate and address it. Content suitability depends on the sources you connect.
13. All versions: changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The last-updated date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected in the updated policy and, when required, an additional notice or consent request.
