1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to WifiAnalyzer, the Android app listed on Google Play as WifiAnalyzer: Signal & Speed (package name com.alkutkar.wifianalyzer). The Google Play developer name is Harsh Alkutkar. The app is operated by Nakshatra AI LLC, a Florida limited liability company.

It explains what information the app uses to scan and display nearby Wi-Fi networks. It does not cover Google Play or other websites you may open.

2. Information used on your device

WifiAnalyzer processes Wi-Fi and network information on your device. Depending on your Android version and permissions, this can include nearby network names (SSIDs), signal strength, frequency, security type, and device location permission needed by Android to perform Wi-Fi scans. On supported Android versions, the app may use the Nearby Wi-Fi Devices permission to discover networks.

The app uses this information to display nearby Wi-Fi networks and diagnostics. It does not transmit scan results, location, or device identifiers to our servers or third parties. The information remains on your device unless you choose to share it outside the app, such as by taking a screenshot or using Android's share sheet.

3. Collection and sharing

For this policy, collection means transmitting information off your device to us or a third party. Sharing means transferring information to a third party. WifiAnalyzer does not collect or share Wi-Fi scan results, location, or device identifiers.

• We do not upload scan results, location, or device identifiers to our servers.
• We do not build profiles, use information for advertising or marketing, or sell or rent personal information.
• The app does not include advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs that transmit your personal or device data.

4. Permissions

Android may require approximate or precise location permission for Wi-Fi scanning on some versions. WifiAnalyzer uses that permission only to enable scanning; it does not use it for location-based services or background tracking. On newer Android versions, Nearby Wi-Fi Devices permission may allow network discovery without broader location access where Android permits it.

You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings. Some scanning features may not work without the permissions required by your Android version.

5. Google Play and other services

The app is distributed through Google Play. Google's handling of information related to your Play account, downloads, and payments is governed by Google's own privacy policy. We do not receive your Google account password or payment details through WifiAnalyzer.

6. Retention and deletion

We do not keep Wi-Fi or location information on our servers. Information shown in the app exists on your device while you use the app and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data in system settings.

7. Security

Information remains on your device. We rely on Android's platform security and do not operate a backend database containing your scan results. You are responsible for keeping your device and screen lock secure.

8. Children's privacy

WifiAnalyzer is intended for users 18 years of age and older. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us using the details below.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information, such as access, correction, deletion, or objection. WifiAnalyzer may be available in multiple countries. Information processed on your device is subject to the laws that apply where you use the device.
